The story so far...
The early days
In 1997, equipped with an extensive background in the 4 and 5 star London hotel market and a passion for the industry, Andrew Bowers and David Moss began the Virtuoso story.
Our vision was to exceed customer expectations by working harder to give better value and we quickly saw that our customers enjoyed working with a supplier more committed to their business and more determined to improve their hotel booking processes as a whole. By the turn of the Millenium we were firmly established with an impressive list of clients and successful track record and a notable high point was in 2002 when we had the honour of being appointed to handle all accommodation requirements for the Queens Jubilee Concerts at Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park in London.
We are proud of the fact that the overwhelming majority of the clients that had faith in us in those early years are still working with us today.
The 'here and now'
We now handle many thousands of hotel bookings each year and have an operational team of 20, working in two teams:
The corporate team focusses on processing all the requirements of our corporate clients and, at a corporate level, works to develop, manage and process corporate hotel programmes.
The exhibition team focusses on the planning, management and handling the hotel requirements for international congresses, exhibitions, conferences and events.
Our customers define our business and, whilst retaining our vision for exceeding expectations, we have also recognised that technology should now form a central part of our business model moving forward and we have therefore invested in the development of two unique online self booking tools rolled into one.
"Tempus", is aimed at providing all corporate clients the opportunity to gain greater operational efficiency and cost control for all individual or group bookings and this software dovetails with our
event - specific booking tool which is used for bookings related to specific ongoing projects and exhibitions/ congresses etc.
In addition to our other strengths, we have added some very talented people to our teams - specialists who share our vision and contribute daily to going above and beyond to exceed expectations. Our people are our most important resource and their quality is your good fortune.
As leading members of the HBAA (Hotel Booking Agents Association) Virtuoso also have a strong commitment to commercial integrity and we believe our clients enjoy working with a company that puts them first at all times.
